Steve Morgan Foundation Emergency Grant
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic the Steve Morgan Foundation introduced an emergency fund for charities and not for profit companies to support people affected by the virus. NEWCIS are delighted to announce that we have been successful in receiving funding from the Steve Morgan Foundation.
What will the grant fund?
Food and Well-Being packs
The funding will be used to provide and deliver food and Well-Being packs and IT equipment to carers that are isolated, particularly in rural areas.
Tech equipment
There is the facility for NEWCIS to purchase tablets that carers can use to assist with keeping in touch with organisations such as ourselves as well as using the device during the pandemic to keep in touch with family, friends or do essential shopping or training that will be hosted virtually by NEWCIS in the near future.
Counselling
The grant has also allowed for additional counselling. The counselling is for carers who are struggling with the emotional impact of the coronavirus. The sessions are time and session limited and will be made via telephone or Skype.Â
