Carer Ventures Limited (CVL) is the social enterprise of NEWCIS, providing practical services to the local community while generating vital income to support unpaid carers across North East Wales. Our professional services include house clearances, handyman services and decluttering support, helping people create safer, more accessible homes while giving unwanted items a second life through our charity shop wherever possible. As well as raising funds, CVL raises awareness of unpaid carers and plays an important role in identifying hidden carers within our communities.
At the heart of CVL are our dedicated NEWCIS volunteers. They play a vital role in ensuring the social enterprise reaches its full potential, whether working in the charity shop, collecting donations or supporting behind the scenes. Volunteering with CVL provides valuable work-based experience, opportunities to build confidence and develop new skills, while fostering friendship and camaraderie in a welcoming environment where people can contribute, connect and enjoy being part of the team.
