Caring at Christmas
While Christmas can be a joyful time for some carers, sadly, for many others it can be incredibly difficult, with extra costs, fewer services, and increased loneliness. Carers UK have released a new research briefing about how carers are feeling about Christmas.
The research found that carers are fearing a bleak holiday, with the majority (68%) saying that they have gone so long without support this year that they don’t expect Christmas to be any different.
The Carers UK’s Helpline will be available as normal from Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm on 0808 808 7777, including Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to offer advice and information to carers.
