“The NEWCIS Trustees made the decision to buy the property last year to enable NEWCIS to provide subsidised breaks to carers registered with the service.

The majority of the furniture in the house has been sourced from our charity shops in Mold and Buckley, as we are always keen to support the environment and re-cycle goods where we can.

Many carers have not had any form of a break due to the pandemic and are still fearful of taking hotel breaks or breaks with shared facilities.  I would like to assure you that the house is cleaned following COVID guidelines after each break has been taken, bedding all washed at the specified temperature and crockery is washed to ensure the break you take is a safe one.

I would like to thank the staff and management team who have put lots of effort into making the house a home and the volunteers who have supported us with work in the garden.

The property will not be available to rent over the Christmas period. The last date of availability is 20th December (leaving on the 23rd December) and then it will not be available until 3rd January 2022.

    You must be registered with NEWCIS to make a booking and have an up to date What Matters Conversation (Carer Needs Assesment).

    The house is part of the Neighbourhood Watch scheme and to ensure we maintain the tranquillity and peace of the avenue, we do not allow visitors to the property who are not listed on the booking form. The Neighbourhood Watch are in contact with us and if they suspect that there are visitors or there are more than 2 cars at the property then we will be in touch with you to politely ask them to leave. This is to ensure the neighbours are not disturbed, to limit wear and tear on the property and for insurance purposes. We expect carers to leave the house in the condition you found it in. If the property has been damaged, dogs have stayed that we have not been informed about or items taken from the house, then you will be charged and unfortunately will not be offered the chance of taking any further breaks with us.
