Carers Trust Wales have launched Caring for someone with dementia: A guide for family and friendsa comprehensive resource that brings together the practical information and emotional guidance that carers need to support their own well-being. 

With funding from The Shaw Foundation, they have developed a toolkit that will enable carers of people with dementia to access information about issues including:

  • Getting a diagnosis
  • Carers rights and needs asssessments
  • Looking after your own emotional well-being
  • Grants, finances and legal considerations
  • Medicine management
  • Hospital admissions
  • Finding a suitable care home
  • Planning for the future
