About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Fundraiser Events Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about event planning and charitable fundraising. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, organising, and delivering high-quality events that inspire donors, engage communities, and raise essential funds to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and deliver a variety of fundraising events, including charity dinners, auctions, community events, sponsored challenges, and digital campaigns.

Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure all events are delivered professionally and effectively.

Manage event budgets and ensure all financial records are accurate and transparent and that the fundraising targets for events, contacts and grant applications are met.

Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and corporate partners.

Work with the communications officer to promote activities for events, including social media, local press, and email campaigns.

Support and work with volunteers and event staff.

Monitor and evaluate event success, providing reports and recommendations for future improvements.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and organisational policies.

About You

Experience in event planning, fundraising, or community engagement.

Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail.

A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

Creative and proactive in developing new fundraising ideas.

Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

Competent in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and basic event management tools.

Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience in organising events or fundraising activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Budget management and reporting experience.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

FLEXIBILITY STATEMENT

You will be subject to annual performance reviews which will incorporate a review of these duties and performance over the year.

RISK MANAGEMENT

It is a standard element of the role and responsibility of all staff within the charity to fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risk in all their actions. This entails the risk assessment of all situations, the taking of appropriate actions and reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards.

HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

All employees of the charity have a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions.  Employees are required to co-operate with management to enable the charity to meet its own legal duties and to report any hazardous situations or defective equipment.
