Carer Ventures Limited (CVL) is NEWCIS’ social enterprise. Whilst raising funds, CVL also raises awareness of carers and plays a key role in identifying hidden carers.

At the heart of CVL are NEWCIS volunteers. Volunteers ensure CVL works to its full potential. Volunteering for CVL provides an opportunity to gain work-based experience both within the shop, collecting donations and behind the scenes. Friendship and comradery between volunteers and staff facilities an environment where people can go to not just volunteer but to enjoy themselves as well.

Charity Shop

CVL operates the NEWCIS charity shop selling good quality second-hand donated items to raise funds for NEWCIS.

Donations

By donating items such as clothing, books, household items, or furniture, you not only help raise funds for charitable organizations but also give your items a second life, keeping them out of landfills. These donations can make a real difference, providing affordable goods to people in need. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to declutter your home!

We can take most items which are of a saleable quality, and are always on the look out for clothing and furniture.

Items can be dropped off at our shop during opening hours. We have a collection service for larger donations (furniture, house clearances). If you would like to request a collection, please contact us.

House Clearances & Decluttering

Our House Clearance Service offers an efficient and respectful solution for clearing unwanted items from residential properties. Whether you’re dealing with the aftermath of a bereavement, downsizing, moving home, or simply looking to declutter, we provide a comprehensive service tailored to your needs.

From single rooms to entire properties, removing furniture, appliances, personal belongings and more. Our team works with care and discretion, ensuring that items will be recycled or refurbished, helping to reduce land fill and help our environmental friendly commitments. Sellable items will be sold in our charity shop, this then reduces the cost of the service.

CVL now also offer a de-cluttering service. For example, moving furniture to accommodate a hospital bed, make room for wheelchair use within the home, a hoist or other equipment.
