Carers Week 2025
Carers Week (9 – 15 June) is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
NEWCIS will have staff in Glan Clwyd and Wrexham Maelor hospital and will be holding activities in the Wrexham Wellbeing Hub and NEWCIS carers centre in Mold, and at the Talking points in Denbighshire. Please come along to meet the staff who are there to provide you with information and support about your caring role.
The theme for this year Caring About Equality, highlights the inequalities faced by unpaid carers and the steps needed to create a fairer society.
Each day of Carers Week will focus on a specific theme, offering the chance to focus on the different ways in which inequality can affect carers’ lives:
Monday – health and social care
Tuesday – financial wellbeing
Wednesday – work and employment
Thursday – young carers
Friday – older carers
Saturday – mental health and wellbeing
⭐ Follow our social media pages for information shared daily throughout the week ⭐
