Summer holiday respite for parent carers
The summer holidays can be great fun. But, for some families, they can also be difficult or stressful.
The Disabled Children’s Partnership’s national survey found that 53% of family carers say they don’t take a family holiday as a result of providing care to their disabled child and 80% have had to give up leisure time due to their caring responsibilities [source].
It is important that you, as an unpaid carer, take a break. Summer holidays can disrupt your usual routine and some clubs and groups may be closed. Below is a list of activities, clubs and groups for children over the Summer holidays.

Wrexham

Wrexham Library – Magi Ann will be visiting almost every library over the summer. The morning sessions will consist of a craft session for half an hour followed by a Story and Rhyme Time with Magi Ann. Afternoon sessions will consist of a Story and Rhyme Time with Magi Ann and will include a colouring pack for children to take home with them.
