Donors October – December 2019

Thank you to everyone who has supported NEWCIS throughout October, November and December. Without the support of these donors NEWCIS would be unable to provide such a tailored service to carers.

Chester Dolls House and Miniatures Club very kindly organised an exhibition and raised £700.

The crafters in both Denbighshire and Flintshire held several stalls to sell their fantastic wares including at the three Christmas Meals. Together they raised £530.

Our first Purple and Green for Carers to be Seen day was held on Carers Rights Day in November. People took part in wearing purple and green to show their support for carers and raised £205. Thank you to the Year 2 Mental Health and Wellbeing Students at Glyndwr University, Prestatyn Slimming World and the Women in Business Conference for supporting the day. We even had Rhyl Promenade lit up in NEWCIS colours!

St Asaph Cathedral was the venue for the celebration of NEWCIS supporting carers for 25 years. Thank you to St Asaph Cathedral for providing the stunning venue and thank you to Flint Male Voice Choir for providing the entertainment. We were joined by the High Sheriff of Clwyd Mrs Stephanie Catherall. The evening raised £736.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Carers Christmas Meals during the meals we held a raffle and guess the teddies birthday raising £474 which will be used for the Christmas meals. The meals were funded thanks to Oakdale Trust, Carers Trust and Asda Community Trust and provided 228 places.
