Carers Week Wellbeing Event
Earlier this month on the 8th June, NEWCIS celebrated Carers Week with a big wellbeing event. Unpaid carers from Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham were invited to the Ramada Plaza in Wrexham to explore new organisations, understand more about wellbeing and the support available.
The event was very well attended by carers and over 40 organisations who came together to offer information about their services and the support available (as well as some freebies)!
Among the invited guests were Lord Mayor Andy Williams, Consort Luke Williams, and High Sheriff of Clwyd Kate Hill Trevor, Wrexham Singalongs and NEWCIS volunteers.
A huge thank you to the following organisations for attending with an information stall: Repair Café Wales, NEWCIS Young Carers, Flintshire Local Voluntary Council, Community Catalysts, Freedom Leisure, SP Energy, Groundworks, AVOW, Wrexham Wellbeing Hub, North Wales Police, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Age Connects, Reengage, Marie Curie, BCUHB Engagement Officer, Dwr Cymru, Warm Wales, Citizens Advice (Mold), Aura Leisure, Wrexham Family Information Service, Flintshire Micro Carers Representatives, Eat Smart, North Wales Clinical Wellness, NEST, Xplore!, Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC), Jill Blandford Yoga, Age Cymru, Emma Sims Holistic Therapies, Glyndwr University, Hafren Dyfrdwy.
