NEWCIS will only use your personal data to make referrals to agencies following discussions with you and at your request. Before we make a referral, we will require specific consent. Data will be used to inform you of any support we feel may benefit you. We will never sell or give your data to third parties or act in a way that we believe will contravene the original reason you contacted us. Comments / contact forms

When visitors leave comments on the site or submit an enquiry through the contact form we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. NEWCIS reserves the right to monitor all comments and to remove any comments which can be considered inappropriate or offensive.

Photo consent

NEWCIS store and use photographs for publication purposes for a period of up to two years after the date of your signed consent unless you withdraw from this by informing us via email or telephone.

No. Everyone within an image used on the website has given written consent for their image to be used by NEWCIS only

Can I print or photocopy any of the NEWCIS materials?

Individuals and organisations are welcome to print and photocopy any complete publication from the NEWCIS website (unless it states otherwise on the publication). Organisations are free to distribute the materials but must ensure NEWCIS is acknowledged.

Zero Tolerance Policy

As an employer, NEWCIS has a duty to care for the health and safety of its staff. The charity also has a legal responsibility to provide a safe and secure working environment for staff. All visitors, volunteers and carers are expected to behave in an acceptable manner and violent, abusive or threatening behaviour towards staff or any person accessing our service may result in removal from our register, rejection to register or even criminal proceedings.

Our staff have the right to be treated with dignity and respect at all times. They should be able to do their jobs without being physically or verbally abused. Most people respect this. Our staff have the right to request anyone being abusive in person to leave the premises, and the right to terminate a telephone call with and anyone who is being abusive.

NEWCIS will remove any carer from the register who is aggressive or abusive towards a member of staff, other carer, volunteer or visitor.

All instances of actual physical abuse on any member of staff, by a carer or their relatives will be reported to the police as an assault. We expect all carers and volunteers to be responsible and avoid attending the carers centre under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.

A zero tolerance approach will implemented on any of the following actions:

– Excessive noise e.g recurrent loud or intrusive conversation or shouting.

– Threatening or abusive language involving swearing or offence remarks.

– Intimidation Tactics.

– Persistent or unrealistic demands that cause stress to staff will not be accepted. Requests will be met wherever possible and explanations given when they cannot.

– Derogatory racial or sexual remarks.

– Malicious allegations relating to members of staff, other carers or visitors.

– Offensive sexual gestures or behaviours.

– Abusing alcohol or drugs on the premises.

– Drug dealing on the premises.

– Wilful damage to the charities property.

– Threats or threatening behaviour.

– Theft.
