Being able to take time to enjoy the leisure centres can be difficult and costly. There are schemes to help you as a carer maintain or improve your fitness at the leisure centres:


Aura Wales facilitates the Aura Plus One Card for Flintshire County Council it allows a carer to accompany a person with disabilities to leisure activities free of charge.

Leisure services operates a registration scheme. By registering your personal details at an Aura Leisure centre and completing an Aura registration form you will receive an Aura card which enables you to access a whole host of leisure activities at a lower price than the standard charge.


Did you know that if you're a carer in Denbighshire you can join your local council sports centre for free and get up to 30% off exercise classes and lots more?

In Wrexham carers can access half price leisure passes at Freedom Leisure within Wrexham (Waterworld, Gwyn Evans, Queensway and Chirk), swimming, gym, etc. Contact NEWCIS on 01978 423114 for more information and a letter for you to take along. 

Freedom leisure also offers half price passes to people with a disability with proof of disability benefits.
