A number of employees from Thames Valley Controls will be walking up Snowdon on 3rd August 2019 to raise money for NEWCIS who have kindly supported families close to our hearts in their time of need.

Show your support and help raise funds for local carers.

We all love a challenge at TVC and this year a team of us will be taking on Snowdon Mountain on 3rd August 2019. We are doing this to help raise money for NEWCIS, a charity who provides support to carers in the community. As a charity NEWCIS totally rely on community support to supplement their core income so that they can provide services to unpaid carers. Being a carer can mean being on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Leaving little time for a social life, making maintaining employment or keeping up with education difficult. Many carers face financial hardship and severe social isolation.  NEWCIS helps carers in time of need offering a range of services including information, one to one and group support, training, social activities, grants and respite. Key is support during times of crisis, offering an individualised and fast response to alleviate the crisis and planning to prevent further crisis occurring. Training has begun by trekking up Moel Famau, one of the highest peaks within the Clwydian Range in Wales. We are all so grateful to those who have already donated to this amazing charity. - The Team at Thames Valley Controls
