What to do when a loved one dies

Giving in memory to NEWCIS

Asking family and friends to make a donation to NEWCIS instead of flowers is a very special way to celebrate the life of a loved one. Every donation made is a tribute to your loved one and will have lasting benefits, helping NEWCIS to support unpaid carers with their caring role.

How to donate

If you would like to arrange In Memory Donations, your Funeral Director can help you with the wording the Order of Service and any other announcements. NEWCIS can provide funeral collection envelopes (including Gift Aid Declaration forms) or you can donate by cheque, with cash or online. To leave a gift to NEWCIS in your Will, you just need to state our charity name, address and registered charity number (1159934) along with the amount you wish to leave.

Why donate to charity?

Donating to a cause you care about not only benefits us, it can be deeply rewarding for you too. Knowing that you will be helping others can be empowering and can make you feel happier and more fulfilled. Big or small, your donation is important to support us to continue helping unpaid carers in the community.

Remembering a charity in your Will is a final gift that you can leave to a charity that’s close to your heart or has helped you or a family member during your life. Chances are that at some point, a charity will touch your life – maybe by helping a friend or a loved one, or by supporting you directly. Charities are there when you need it most. Help us to continue supporting unpaid carers in the future by leaving a gift to NEWCIS in your Will.

Giving money to charity in your Will can also reduce your Inheritance Tax. For more information click here

If our charity has touched your life, or someone you care about, then please consider saying thank you by leaving us a gift in your Will

I wanted NEWCIS to benefit from the collection at my Dad's funeral because they were a trusted friend to call upon when things got too much. Thanks to NEWCIS I could support my Dad at home until he died. I just wanted to give something back.
