What to do when a loved one dies
Giving in memory to NEWCIS
Asking family and friends to make a donation to NEWCIS instead of flowers is a very special way to celebrate the life of a loved one. Every donation made is a tribute to your loved one and will have lasting benefits, helping NEWCIS to support unpaid carers with their caring role.
How to donate
If you would like to arrange In Memory Donations, your Funeral Director can help you with the wording the Order of Service and any other announcements. NEWCIS can provide funeral collection envelopes (including Gift Aid Declaration forms) or you can donate by cheque, with cash or online.
To leave a gift to NEWCIS in your Will, you just need to state our charity name, address and registered charity number (1159934) along with the amount you wish to leave.
Why donate to charity?
Donating to a cause you care about not only benefits us, it can be deeply rewarding for you too. Knowing that you will be helping others can be empowering and can make you feel happier and more fulfilled. Big or small, your donation is important to support us to continue helping unpaid carers in the community.
Giving money to charity in your Will can also reduce your Inheritance Tax. For more information visit www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity*
*please seek the advice of a solicitor in regards to Estate Planning.
Remembering a charity in your Will is a final gift that you can leave to a charity that’s close to your heart or has helped you or a family member during your life.
Writing a Will
I wanted NEWCIS to benefit from the collection at my Dad's funeral because they were a trusted friend to call upon when things got too much. Thanks to NEWCIS I could support my Dad at home until he died. I just wanted to give something back.
