Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring and highlight the challenges carers face. Every year we take the opportunity to hold lots of events and activities for our carers to enjoy - and they do!

Our main event this year was our Website Launch and our Sponsored Walk for NEWCIS fundraiser. Head over to the blog to read more!

To kick off the week, NEWCIS organised a "Rhyl Past and Present" tour taking a look at the history of Rhyl and the new developments planned for the town. The weather was gorgeous and the turn out was great!

Some of our development workers were out and about promoting our services and Carers Week at Maelor Hospital

We held a "Try Something Different" Drop In at our Carers Centre, Mold. As the theme of Carers Week 2018 was to "stay healthy and connected", we invited some organisations along to provide taster sessions of their services that would benefit carers.

British Red Cross came along to provide bitesize information on first aid using everyday objects.

There was a dance session to upbeat music which got carers moving

Then there was a yoga session for carers to relax!

Next door, Careers Wales were on hand for the "All about employment, education and volunteering" drop in
